Running Minecraft with mods is awesome.
This allows for a lot of quality of life improvements, such as maps, JEI and other stuff.
Installation
This tutorial is written for the official minecraft-launcher
.
- Download the Minecraft ATlauncher via your package manager (AUR:
atlauncher-bin
). - Start the launcher and connect it with your minecraft account.
- Create a new client instances with mods enabled via Forge.
Get Mods
A new Minecraft Forge instance is now installed and you can add your mods.
- Download all of your mods. Be careful that the mod is for the correct minecraft version. Some mods also come with support for another mod loader. Be sure to pick the Forge version.
- Click on the instances tab and click on
Add mods
. - Select the downloaded mod files.

option for the crafting grid. - Inventory sorter Quality of life inventory management.
- Balm Dependency for a few mods.
- Just enough items Better crafting and item inspection interface.
- Journey Map A nice ingame map :)
- GravelMiner Instant Gravel mining.
- FallingTree Instant Tree feller.
- Light overlay Shows where monsters can spawn.
- Optifine Better graphics and zoom!
